38-07-03-05. Vehicle inspection. All vehicles used for driver training purposes must be in safe mechanical condition. Vehicles must pass a vehicle inspection immediately after installation of dual control devices and periodically thereafter as may be designated by the superintendent. The department of transportation annual vehicle inspection will be accepted for commercial vehicles. The vehicle inspection must be done by a person authorized by the superintendent. The license of a commercial driver training school or instructor may be suspended at any time if a vehicle used for driver training purposes is not maintained in a safe operating condition.
