50-02-05-01. Standard certificate from educational commission required. All applicants for licensure who are graduates of foreign medical schools, except the medical schools of the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, are required to present a valid certification status from the educational commission for foreign medical graduates. This requirement does not apply to applicants who were first licensed to practice medicine in the United States prior to the availability of the educational commission for foreign medical graduates examination. This requirement does not apply to applicants for licensure who graduated from an accredited medical school of Canada prior to June 30, 2025.
